A music-lover at heart, he finds great solace in the simple poetry of a perfectly optimized website, from the subtle nuances of well-formatted CSS to the crisp interludes of a rousing mobile-first execution. He takes an almost sadistic joy at the demise of obsolete technologies like Flash, but you’ll have to peel his vinyl record collection from his cold, dead hands.

What is your favorite thing to do locally (besides work here)?
I’m heavily involved in the local music scene, from running MKEpunk.com with my pal, doing a radio show at WMSE, digging for vinyl at the local music stores and second hand shops, putting out records on my own label to playing extremely loud music with my band. I have no shortage of music-related hobbies.
If you were a cereal box character, which one would you be?
Weird question, but if I had to pick one… it’d be Snap, Crackle or Pop, I guess? Did any of them wear all black? If so, that one.
What is the most played song on your iPod?
“I Am Not A Goal-Oriented Person” by Whores.
If you could learn anything, what would it be?
I’ve been struggling to find time to really wrap my head around this Ableton Live Push music production device. It’s been taking some getting used to, but I’d love to be able to use it for live music performance. I’ve barely got a handle on it, and a new version already came out.
What is your personal life motto?
Fake it until you make it.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
You know, I never really thought about becoming anything in particular. I guess I always thought I would become a lawyer, bringing criminals to justice… you know, like Perry Mason.
What is the last movie/TV show/book that made you cry?
In Shaun of the Dead, when Shaun’s best friend throws his electro record at the zombie’s head and it breaks into a bunch of small pieces… C’mon… it was the second record he ever bought! “It’s not Hip-Hop, its Electro…”
What brought you to Jigsaw?
Cory Ampe brought me here, as she been slowly building her own faction to overthrow the current regime. Oh wait, did I just give away her top secret plan? Crap. Seriously though, from the top down everyone is open to new ideas. Also, working alongside another web developer means I have someone to collaborate with and learn from. BONUS: I shaved about 45-60 minutes off my daily commute.
