We create hope

There’s a magical place in advertising where the most advanced technology meets basic human truths. Where strategy meets creativity. And where a truly inspired idea meets a masterful execution.

That’s precisely the place we found through our work for Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS).

Our campaign was called Hope is____. The idea was to have people whose lives were affected by cancer finish the “hope is” sentence and then, through the campaign, share their inspiring thoughts with others. To bring our idea to life, we collaborated with the Adobe Experience Design Team and A&M Vision to build a community of hope. Our campaign included: an event, a 45′x7′ interactive wall, an experiential minisite, a Twitter account and a traveling exhibit. Together, this multifaceted campaign gave hope a face and united cancer survivors, patients, family members, friends, coworkers, classmates, neighbors, doctors, nurses and scientists.

The three-stage project started in January 2010 with an Open House event. Over 7,000 guests engaged with a 45′ X 7′ rear-projected interactive wall and shared their messages of hope by electronically writing on the wall. The messages written on the wall during the event were then transferred and displayed on an experiential minisite where others could see the inspiring messages and add their own. The site was also populated with messages from a traveling exhibit that went to many cancer-related events across Northeastern Wisconsin. Jigsaw also launched a Twitter account and blogger outreach program that shared the message of hope with an even larger audience.

By fusing technology and emotion, we helped a community of fighters, survivors and supporters discover and share what hope is.
