BloodCenter of Wisconsin’s mission is to advance patient care by providing life-saving solutions, grounded in unparalleled medical and scientific expertise. Nowhere is this more evident than in their interactions with patients, emergency responders and donors. In 2010, Jigsaw helped BCW develop a video series to help explain just how crucial blood donation is and to establish a deeper, more understanding relationship with the public.
The videos feature three individuals who interact with BloodCenter of Wisconsin in very different ways. Rich, a Flight for Life paramedic, sees the benefits of an on-hand O-Negative blood supply on a daily basis. Jessica’s life was saved after she was involved in an eye-opening car accident. John is a 40-year donor, all because his neighbor needed blood for a surgery four decades ago. Each featured individual wanted to show the public the good that is done every time someone donates. These videos were housed on YouTube, BCW.edu and BloodCenter of Wisconsin’s Facebook page and were distributed by emails, posts and tweets.
