10 Questions with Jigsaw Newbies: Gerard Heidgerken
Juggler, nuclear mechanic, pirate DJ, blogger, street magician, author, victorian renovator, professional rum taster, off-brand circus clown—Gerard brings a wealth of experience to Jigsaw. Some of it’s even useful. He’s sailed four of the seven seas (five if you’re generous) and was once sucker punched by a Navy Seal. That he now considers writing for an ad agency to be the “real” world shows just how skewed his perspective is.
What is your title at Jigsaw?

Finding rockstar mixologist bartenders and letting them make me drinks. Playing with my camera and pretending to be a photographer at fashion shows, car shows, and Make-A-Wish events.
If you were a cereal box character, which one would you be?
The 70’s Cookie Crisp Wizard. Growing up I wanted to be a wizard, but the guidance counselor wasn’t very helpful.

I sometimes listen to more Yelawolf than I care to admit.

How to beat 8-year-olds on Xbox.

Awesome is its own reward.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Astronaut, cowboy, ninja, pirate, GI Joe, wizard (see above.) These days I want to be one of those super spies that drink martinis on space stations. Not sure who to talk to about that.

I got a bit misty during Furious 7
What brought you to Jigsaw?
Wold and Hanneken promised to teach me kung fu (I might be paraphrasing.)
