The Creepiest TV Ads of All Time
In the spirit of Halloween, here are ten of the creepiest TV ads of all time.
#1 Creepy Japenese Kleenex Ad
In the 1980s, Kleenex released three Japanese commercials for their tissues, featuring a woman dressed in a white toga-like dress and a young child dressed as a Japanese ogre, sitting on straw. Many viewers found the advertisement disturbing. Rumours began to circulate about the cast, such as with the crew meeting untimely deaths through accidents and the lead actress either dying, being institutionalized or becoming pregnant with a demon child.
#2 Remco Baby Laugh a Lot
In the 1970’s, Remco produced this super creepy doll and promoted it with this super creepy commercial. I’m pretty sure these girls are possessed.
#3 Finnish Anti-Drinking PSA
A charity in Finland called the Fragile Childhood launched this PSA in 2012 to show parents how their children feel when they drink too much.
#4 PS3 Creepy Baby
I’m not even sure what to say about this one. PS3 turns babies into demons.
#5 Levi’s 501
Dude likes his 501s
#6 Bud Light Axe
I myself enjoy an icy cold Bud Light, but I’m not so sure I’d stop for this guy. Seems there is a better way to open up a bottle.
#7 1960s Commercial for Post Sugar Rice Krinkles
If you suffer from Coulrophobia, do not watch this ad.
#8 Little Baby’s Ice Cream
I checked and this is seriously a company. http://www.littlebabysicecream.com/ Let me know if you want to go get ice cream after this.
#9 Creepy Uncle Sam
The conservative group Generation Opportunity’s creepy Uncle Sam ads attacking the Affordable Care Act. I don’t care what your political views are, these are creepy.
#10 USPS Priority Mail
Again, if you have a fear of clowns, don’t watch.
